Avalanche Theatre?
Founded by Alexander Utz and Zoe Sjogerman in 2019, Avalanche Theatre is a Chicago-based theatre company whose mission is to connect local theatre artists with audiences in lasting and meaningful ways, by producing new plays of exceptional theatrical and literary merit.
By providing valuable theatre experiences both on the page and the stage, Avalanche aims to create a jumping-off point for new, innovative, and unconventional playwriting voices in today's theatre community.
Avalanche looks to build a canon of contemporary plays which speak to who we are today and who we want to be tomorrow.
In July 2019, a reading of Alexander's play Frances Makes History was Avalanche's first production.
